Quincy Quek Earns Asian Tour Card
Quincy Quek earned his Asian Tour card when he finished tied 11th after shooting a 74 in the final round of the 2010 Asian Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. The former National Squad member made the turn in 40 but managed to recover with birdies on the 11th and 12th holes.
"It was disappointing not to have a better result but I still made the grade and that's what's important. My game has matured and I'm feeling more confident. I'm looking forward to playing more on the Asian Tour and taking it to the next level," said Quek.
Quek is the third Singapore pro to qualify to play in the Asian Tour after Mardan Mamat and Lam Chih Bing. His performance will serve as an inspiration to his former peers in the SGA National Squad who are on the verge of taking the professional route.

Quincy Quek In Strong Position to Earn Asian Tour Card
Former National Squad member, Quincy Quek, is in a strong position to earn playing rights on the Asian Tour after Round 3 of the 2010 Asian Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. He posted a remarkable eight birdies against one double bogey on the 15th hole to charge up the leader board. His total score of 11 under 205 (71, 68, 66) puts him in a 4-way tie for third position, sharing it with Artemio Murakami (Philippines), Toni Karjalainen (Finland) and Azuma Yano (Japan).
"It helps when you are in a good position after three rounds as it puts a bit of pressure off. I'm pretty comfortable with the way I'm playing. I don't feel much pressure this week. Gamewise, I have matured since my amateur days and that has definitely helped," said Quek.
There are 105 golfers competing for playing rights on the Asian Tour and only the top 40 and ties will earn it.
