Koh Dengshan won the 1st NRG for 2010 after shooting a final round score of 2 under 70, the only player to break par today, to pip leader Jonathan Woo by 1 stroke.  He showed his intention to return to competitive golf after a layoff due to his National Service basic military training commitments by carding a total score of 4 under 212 (73, 69, 70).  Jonathan Woo faltered with a triple bogey at Hole 16 to return 3 over 75 for a total of 3 under 213 (71, 67, 75) to take second position. 

Johnson Poh took third position with 3 over 219 (74, 72, 73).  Marc Ong and Gregory Foo took fourth and fifth positions with 222 (74, 75, 73) and 224 (78, 71, 75), respectively.

Heng Su-Ann finished top amongst the ladies with 236 (75, 79, 82) and Kok Jo Ee in second position with 244 (82, 83, 79).

Jonathan Woo carded a sizzling second round score of 5 under 67, picking up 2 birdies going out and 3 birdies coming in, to extend his lead by 4 strokes with a 6 under 138 (71, 67).  Koh Dengshan shot 3 under 69 to move into second position with 2 under 142 (73, 69).  Johnson Poh is in third position with 2 over 146 (74, 72).  Gregory Foo, Marc Ong and Jerome Ng are all tied in fourth position with 5 over 149. 

Round 3 will be played at Seletar Country Club tomorrow morning.

Jonathan Woo leads Round 1 of the 1st National Ranking Game for 2010.  He shot 1 under 71 to lead the field by 1 stroke.  Tied in 2nd position at level par 72 are Chia Chong Zheng and Jerome Ng.  In 4th position is Koh Dengshan at 1 over 73 and in tied 5th position are Johnson Poh and newly promoted National Squad member, Marc Ong, at 2 over 74.

Heng Su-Ann leads the 4 girls with Round 1 score of 3 over 75 and followed by Joey Poh at 7 over 79.

The first edition of the National Ranking Game for 2010 is played at the Laguna National Golf & Country Club and Seletar Country Club.   Round 2 will continue tomorrow at the LNGCC.

The SGA Training & Selection Sub-Committee has also approved the inclusion of seven new players for 2010.  They are  Abdul Hadi (NSRCC),  Thomas Tan Wei Hao (OCC), Wong Qi Wen (TMCC), Tan Yong Jia (MGK), Lucius Toh (SEL), Giam Jia Hao (OCC) and Joshua Foo Shang Dong (SICC).  The first five are participating in this NRG.
